SURVIVAL GUIDE

WHAT TO
BRING

Mars is 225 million kilometers from the nearest pharmacy. Pack smart. Your survival depends on it.

ALL GEAR IS SUBJECT TO PRE-LAUNCH INSPECTION. NON-APPROVED ITEMS WILL BE LEFT ON EARTH.

🛡️

LIFE SUPPORT

EVA Pressure Suit

Full-body suit rated for Mars surface conditions. Without it you have about 15 seconds of consciousness outside.

Oxygen Supply System

Rebreather plus emergency backup tanks. Your suit handles this but always carry manual backups.

Helmet with Heads-Up Display

Visor filters UV and solar radiation. The HUD tracks your vitals, oxygen levels, and navigation.

Thermal Underlayer

Temperatures drop to -80C at night. Your thermal layer goes on before everything else.

🧭

NAVIGATION

Mars GPS Communicator

Earth GPS does not work on Mars. Marsbound provides a dedicated orbital nav system for all guests.

Terrain Maps (Offline)

Download the full regional maps before you leave the habitat. Connectivity outside is not guaranteed.

Emergency Beacon

One-button distress signal. Mandatory for all surface excursions. Clip it to your suit before every trip out.

Compass (non-magnetic)

Mars has a weak magnetic field. Standard compasses are useless. Use optical or satellite-based orientation.

💊

HEALTH

Radiation Medication

Daily dose required throughout the trip. Reduces cumulative radiation exposure from the Martian surface.

Anti-Dust Filters (x10)

Mars dust is extremely fine and gets into everything. Extra filters for your suit air intake, plus spares for your habitat.

Bone Density Supplements

Lower gravity affects your body fast. Start these 3 months before departure and continue the whole trip.

First Aid Kit (Mars-rated)

Standard Earth kits are not enough. You need wound treatment that works in dry, low-pressure conditions.

🎒

DAILY LIFE

Compact Calorie Rations

The habitat provides meals but pack enough high-calorie bars for 3 extra days in case of delays or emergencies.

Water Recycler Bottle

Water on Mars is precious. This bottle filters and recycles up to 98% of what you drink. Do not lose it.

Dust-Proof Electronics Case

Mars dust kills devices fast. Camera, tablet, and comm gear all go in the case when not in use.

Personal Data Drive

Store your photos and journals locally. Do not count on cloud uploads from the surface.
